Overview
 
The Dual Marker (First Trimester) test is a prenatal blood test done between 9 to 13 weeks of pregnancy to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities in the baby, such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) and Trisomy 18. It measures two important markers i.e., Free Beta hCG & PAPP-A and combines the results with ultrasound findings (NT scan), maternal age, and other factors to provide a risk assessment. The Autodelfia method refers to a highly sensitive automated technology used for accurate measurement of these markers.
